Last updated: 29 October 2026
Draft. This document is a working draft prepared before launch and is pending review by a qualified lawyer. Details in [square brackets] will be completed once company registration is final.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by [Company legal name], [Registered address, Istanbul, Türkiye] (“Wryders”, “we”, “us”), registry no. [Trade registry / MERSIS number]. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You can contact us about privacy at privacy@wryders.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Wryders website (wryders.com), including the early-access, contact and advertising forms. The Wryders app will have its own, more detailed privacy notice before accounts open, covering profiles, messaging, calls, translation and payments.
3. Data we collect
Early-access registration
- Email address (required) and first name (optional)
- City, languages you speak and what you are interested in
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or older and your consent to receive launch emails, with the date and time
Contact and advertising forms
- Name, email address, topic and the content of your message
- For advertising requests: company name, website, target market, campaign objective, format, budget range and duration
Technical data
- When you submit a form we store a one-way hashed version of your IP address and the time of submission, to prevent spam and abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs for security.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive personal data such as health, religion or political opinions.
4. Why we use your data and our legal basis
- Sending early-access and launch emails — based on your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5(1); GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Answering your messages and partnership requests — necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and (f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Preventing spam and keeping the site secure — our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Meeting legal obligations — where the law requires us to keep or disclose information (KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç); GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Our website hosting provider, [Hosting provider name], which stores the site and form submissions on our behalf.
- Our email provider, [Email provider name], used to send and receive email.
- Authorities, when we are legally required to.
Some of these providers may store data outside Türkiye. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted by KVKK Article 9 (such as standard contractual clauses notified to the Personal Data Protection Authority) and, for GDPR, appropriate safeguards under Chapter V. [To be confirmed per provider.]
6. How long we keep it
- Early-access data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and no longer than 24 months after launch if you never create an account.
- Contact and advertising requests: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless a contract requires longer.
- Anti-spam data: up to 90 days.
7. Your rights
Under KVKK Article 11 and, where it applies, the GDPR, you have the right to:
- learn whether we process your data and request information about it;
- learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used for that purpose;
- know the third parties to whom data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad;
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
- request deletion or destruction of your data, and notification of this to third parties;
- object to a result that is against you arising from automated analysis;
- claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing;
- withdraw consent, object to processing and, under the GDPR, request portability or restriction.
Send requests to privacy@wryders.com. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you are in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies
The Wryders website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
9. Children
Wryders is currently for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete it.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when our services change and show the new date at the top of this page.
